In territories like Australia, rail accounts for almost 50% of all freight transport, 98% being bulk. And while rail and road compete strongly for long-distance freight, rail typically beats road in many geographical regions.
In order to stay competitive over time, typical challenges that rail freight business operators face these days are related to better control of key logistic parameters, essential for planning, monitoring and accurate forecasting. This counts for both: the internal resource consumption as well as the hauling of bulk goods. Very often, manual data collection is still common, a major challenge for procurement and finance alike.
TRACK.TAS offers web-based and real-time administration without compromising a single aspect around drivers, locos and loading. It manages the assignment of product by trailer and provides answers to key questions in any desired granularity such as: what particular loco is pulled up on a particular train set?
How much diesel or heavy fuel oil was taken on board? Who was the driver and who did the loading? In other words, TRACK.TAS serves as a network-wide stock control system and is also your first choice for automatically managing the loading and validation of goods for transport, according to GMP.
Based on the widely installed CRYO.TAS, the new TRACK.TAS turnkey solution can control the unlikely amount of up to 32.000 sites in one master system. It is modular based, fully scalable and designed for the most challenging infrastructure without the need of a stable data connection. Every remote system can operate as standalone and data replication starts automatically whenever a data connection is available.
